Lt. Ehren Watada Video
We post this video here, not to support the position that Bush is bad and the war is wrong. Rather we post it to honor this man for taking a stand for peace.
It is tempting to react with agreement or disagreement about someone’s position. Yet, it is this very conditioned propensity that keeps us from consciously evolving and standing together for a world that really works for all of us.
There shall come a day when it is easy to relate to each other as conscious beings. Those who step forward first to call humanity to rise to a higher level of consciousness are indeed visionary.

Mar 14th, 2007It takes a lot of guts and courage to take a stand
like Watada’s. It is amazing and it is so inspiring.
I wonder if we have one million Watadas, what kind of
a world we would have?

Apr 17th, 2007To make it clear that you’re honoring a stand, not just promoting a position — how about showing the best of Bush right next to it? Is not Bush also taking a stand for what he believes is best?

May 1st, 2007Interesting thought, Rod, but as an elected official, Bush is expected to take a stand for the people, not his buddies. Though I hardly expect a man whose position was immorally – nea, illegally – obtained to respect the people he is called to represent. I know it’s a common occurrence for the right-leaning to believe they are right – why else would they be called right? – but when more than half the people in our country consider the war in Iraq to be illegal, how can we allow it to continue? I’ve read both sides of the story about Watada and, while I believe there’s a possibility that he did join the military in order to make this stand, his heart is in the right place and he’s standing behind his convictions. He has offered to serve in Afghanistan and he is willing to serve time in prison. These are not trivial considerations.
